Questions

In the order you will wonder about them: before you book, at the sauna and afterwards.

Before you book

How do I book a session?
Choose a session, how many adults and children are coming, and pay. After payment you get a code and more information from us.
How long is a session?
Two hours. The sessions on Monday–Wednesday and Friday 08:00–11:00, and Saturday and Sunday 06:00–09:00 are three hours. The time it takes to heat the sauna is included.
Is firewood included?
No. Bring your own firewood, or buy firewood for NOK 120 when you book. It will be in the sauna when you arrive.
Can we have the sauna to ourselves?
Yes. Book all twelve places on one session. We recommend buying a 12-clip card and using all the clips on one booking: then the whole sauna costs NOK 950. Twelve single tickets cost NOK 1,320 at the day rate.
What is the age limit?
From 16 you can use the sauna on your own. Under 16 you must be with an adult over 18.

At the sauna

Is the sauna hot when I arrive?
No. The sauna is self-service, and you heat it yourself. That keeps the costs down.
How does the lock work?
After booking you get your own code that opens the digital padlock on the outer door. Leave the padlock open while you are inside. When you are done, lock the sauna with it.
Is there a shower and changing room?
There is a changing room and clean, fresh seawater right outside. There is no shower.

Afterwards

Do I have to clean the sauna?
Yes. Leave the sauna as you found it. Sweep the water on the floor out the main door and wash the benches. Green soap and a squeegee are ready.
I booked but did not get the code.
Check your spam folder first. The code is also on My page at Periode. If you cannot find it, email post@stanghelleil.com with your booking number and we will send a new one.

The club

Who runs Stanghelle Sauna?
Stanghelle IL, a non-profit sports club, owns and runs the sauna. The surplus goes to sports, leisure and local projects in Stanghelle.
